Executive Condominiums
Executive Condominium (EC), is a type of subsidised housing offered by HDB. In the first 5 years of owner occupation period, they are governed by HDB's policies. ECs are enclosed with private condo facilities, and this is the main difference with the public subsidised HDB Flats. EC units are cheaper in price when you compare them to the private condominiums. Only Singapore Citizens are eligible to apply, and other eligibility conditions applies. ECs are very popular with first time buyers and HDB upgraders.
